Sheldon Zablotny

Sheldon Zablotny is an Erie native who has excelled at every level of basketball. The former Cathedral Prep standout (class of 2012) earned his BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Slippery Rock University. Athletically, Sheldon is Cathedral Prep’s 2nd All-Time Scorer. Scoring over 1300 points for his career. He played Collegiately at Niagara County Community College, where he was a Junior College All-American. He continued his career at Division II powerhouses Florida Southern and Valdosta State before playing professionally with the Chautauqua Hurricanes for a season.

Departs Edinboro as one of only four players to earn NABC All-American honors … former transfer from Roberts Wesleyan who played three seasons at Edinboro … completed his career ranked sixth in career scoring with 1,465 points … also departs tied for seventh in career scoring average (16.8 ppg.), eighth in field goals made (539), sixth in field goals attempted(1,211), fourth in three point field goals made (166), fifth in three point field goals attempted (466), sixth in assists (359), and ninth in steals (143) … concluded his four year playing career with 1,912 points … a two time All PSAC West first team selection, earning the honors as a junior and senior… one of only two Edinboro players selected to play in the NABC Division II All Star Game …played his high school basketball at nearby Cathedral Prep.

After College Joe spent a few years pursuing his professional basketball career. Spending time in the G-League with Erie Bay hawks, the Professional Basketball League with the Vermont Frost Heaves, and also overseas in China NBL.

Since playing Joe has spent his time coaching. Currently, holds a position as an Assistant coach of the 2021 State Champion Cathedral Prepatory Ramblers. Also, part time coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers Youth Academy. Prior to his current positions he spent four years at North East Junior College under Coach Shannon Pullium. Furthermore, a mix of individual training.

Joe is currently in his 9th year as Advanced Counselor with Erie county at Edmund L. Thomas detention center.

Eight 90 min sessions. Focusing on Ball Handling, shooting, defense, passing, finishing around the rim, as well as game concepts and offensive execution principles. Limit of 12 participants per session.

Shannon Pullium

Coach Pullium brings over 26 years of Head Coaching experience at both the High School and Collegiate levels to ShanPullSports. The Erie native (East High ’84) is a graduate of Slippery Rock University (B.A Sociology), where he was a 3-year starter and a 4 year Letterman in the late 80’s early 90’s.

Coach Pullium had been a highly successful Head Boys Basketball Coach for Strong Vincent High School in Erie for 18 seasons. He compiled a 311- 134 record making him the All-Time wins leader in Erie Public School Boys Basketball history. During his tenure Strong Vincent won 10 League/conference Championships, 3 District 10 Championships, 2 state semifinals appearances, and one State Championship appearance.

He later went on to coach at the Junior College level at Mercyhurst North East College, where he guided the Saints program for 4 years. He is currently an Assistant Coach at Gannon University and in his 17th year as a Behavioral Interventionist in the Erie Public School System.
